medically speaking

I know not too many of you would really care (esp. men), but since I started having issues with my right hand I can’t use my Diva Cup.  :(  May was the first time in about a year that I bought tampons.  I’m glad now that I got the bigger boxes, as now it seems I’ll be needing to use them for this month also.  I hated having to buy ’em since I have a perfectly good and functioning menstrual cup.  I just can’t get the hang of it since my hand has started bothering me.

Hopefully soon I’ll be seeing a doctor.  We have our insurance cards, just need to pick a doctor.  I’ve never had to pick my own doctor (last time I had insurance was when I was working at Athena’s, which was about four years ago and I wasn’t there long enough to get to a doc.  The time before that was when I was in h.s.)  How does one go about picking a doctor?  Just pick one from the list who’s name sounds good?  I will only go to a woman, so that eliminates half from the list.

I just went through the hassle of picking a doctor, and have finally found one that I like. I would suggest asking everyone you know who their doctor is is whether or not they like them and why/why not. After that, it’s just a matter of making an appointment and seeing how you feel.

I did this, and the first doctor I tried wasn’t right for me (even though she came with good recs) but the second was great. Good luck!

I’m so glad. You don’t have to worry that one good slip down a steep flight of stairs will clean out your bank accounts. *relief*

Well, Nicki and I have the same doctor, and we both like her. (ironically, I think Matt and Derrick might also share a doctor, lol.)
Next time I see you in person, remind me, and I’ll describe her to you if you like, so you can consider whether she’s what you’re looking for.

Keep in mind that whomever you see initially is probably going to send you to a specialist for you hands/wrists.
